1. Is paying my property tax bill online safe?
  The County of Santa Cruz has contracted with Point & Pay in order to provide this service. Point & Pay has implemented a secure network for processing payments. This system uses encryption technology to ensure that only those approved by you can have access to your confidential information.

2. What is a convenience fee?
  This is a fee assessed by Point & Pay for providing the ability to perform real-time Internet transactions in an easy, secure and reliable manner. Point & Pay's research has shown that online transactions save taxpayers and government agencies both time and money.

3. How do I know that my payment was made?
  After completing the payment process, a Confirmation Page with a corresponding Confirmation Number will be displayed. You are encouraged to print this page for your records. Additionally, a new window will open and you will be redirected to the Tax Bills page where you can review the status of your payment. There may be occasions when the tax system is not available for the immediate posting of your payment. When this occurs, you will receive a message indicating that your payment will be posted by the end of the next business day.
